Pick Up and Return
Equipment is generally available for pickup after 3PM on the day before use day. Prior arrangement must be made if equipment is needed earlier. Returns must be made by 10AM on the day following your last use day. Equipment returned after 10AM is subject to additional rental charges.

Betacam SP format provides Excellent video and audio quality! The UVW-1800 is a Betacam SP videocassette recorder with sophisticated editing features. It is equipped with RS-422A, built-in TBC, TC generator/reader, and a variety of I/O component. The UVW-1800 offers an easy and economical way to enter the Betacam SP format, offering superior performance, versatility and reliability. Great for these Applications: Broadcast Operations & Automation Cable Ad Insertion Education/Training Event Videography Inspection/Manufacturing Law Enforcement Medical Mobile Production Newsroom Operations On-Line Finishing Studio Production High Speed Picture Search Provides a recognizable picture at various speeds over a range of up to 5 times normal speed in color, and up to 16 times normal speed in monochrome, both in forward and reverse. Full Editing Function When connected to RS-422A equipped editing controllers such as the PVE-500, the UVW-1800 functions as an editing recorder for assemble or insert editing. Frame accurate editing is assured in both modes, thanks to the sophisticated servo control and built-in time code generator/reader. In the insert mode, video, audio CH-1, audio CH-2 and time code can be inserted independently or in any combination. In the assemble mode, all of the prerecorded signals are erased and replaced with new signals. Built-in Time Base Corrector Provides stable pictures without any additional equipment. Advanced, high quality digital dropout compensation also ensures consistent picture performance. Built-in Time Code Generator/Reader The Betacam SP format has an independent time code track so that a longitudinal audio track does not have to be sacrificed for time code. The time codes conform to the SMPTE standard in which LTC and User-bits are provided. LTC is used to identify the absolute address of a frame, while User-bits are reserved for operator's use. Frame accurate A/B roll editing is possible using the LTC. Home Page
